Google Project Glass — Next step to Technology!

The Google Project Glass has been finally tested by some beta testers, sky divers and its functioning very well. This a small instrument placed that can be placed on your existing spectacles so that it turns into an ultimate gadget. At the side of it, there is a touch pad for control, on top is a button for shooting photos and videos with the built-in camera. It has multiple radios for data communication, a speaker and a mic, and a gyroscope so Glass can tell your position and orientation at all times.

In detail, Google Glass has a Broadcom 2.4GHz 802.11 b/g Wi-Fi radio and Bluetooth 4.0 as well as bone-conduction speakers, which would keep your ears open to your surroundings — the sound just leaks into space.

Controlling the glass is simple, you’ll initiate a voice command by saying “OK, Glass,” followed by whatever it is you want to do. You can do a Google+ Hangout, Read or send SMS, Check emails, get directions and much more! Its just like a computer directly embedded to your eye.

Currently Google glass is available only for developers with a price tag of $1,500 which is called “Google Glass Explorer”, But Google plans to sell these later at 2014 in which the consumer price would go low by then. Google employees said to NYT that the Glass will cost as same as the smartphones.

Google’s video and “what-it-does” explanation is very much explains everything that you need to know about Glass & how it works. Its just amazing as a little device can turn into lot of possibilities!
